Disappointing Experience – Would Not ReturnI came in for a massage expecting a relaxing and therapeutic experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short. When I arrived, I was asked what pressure I preferred and I said medium. However, after just a few minutes, I had to ask for more pressure—and was then told that anything firmer would be considered a "deep tissue massage" and cost \$10 more. That felt misleading.Shortly after, I was asked if I wanted coconut oil instead of the regular oil. I said yes, thinking it was just a preference, only to be told that would also be \$10 extra. At that point, I declined.The actual massage felt more like I was being lightly oiled rather than massaged. There was almost no pressure applied, and it lacked any real technique or benefit. When it came to the foot massage, it was especially disappointing. The therapist wore latex gloves, which—combined with the oil—created a strange, unpleasant texture. The gloves would snap against my skin, making it far from a smooth or enjoyable experience.There was no stretching, no attention to the calves, and an awkward, repetitive rubbing motion over my toes that felt more strange than relaxing.All in all, I left feeling unsatisfied and a bit frustrated. This was not a professional or therapeutic massage, and I would not return.They were extremely nice. But it was not what I expected.
I had the pleasure of getting a massage from Wendy, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely at ease with her warm and professional demeanor. Wendy clearly knows what she’s doing — her technique is incredible, and she intuitively knew exactly where to focus. I left feeling completely relaxed, refreshed, and tension-free. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. If you’re looking for someone who’s skilled, attentive, and truly cares about her clients’ well-being, I highly recommend Wendy. She’s exceptional!

Foot massage was great! Once the massage was done and paid for they demanded a TIP! Before we could even get out extra money for a tip after paying for the service. Once we tipped they gave us a crazy look as if we didn’t tip enough. Although we was going to tip they should not have been demanding a tip from us. Not so great customer service.

Wei is amazing. I'm new to massages and I will pick him every time. My body feels new. My husband and I did the whole body, couples massage for an hour. Wei did my massage and a woman did my husband's massage. Immediately after the massage, we needed to walk around the shopping center for about 30 minutes before we could drive home. It put both of us in such a mellow state.The full body massage includes your face, your head, your feet, and all the muscles you didn't know existed. Best priced massage I've found yet. We will be going back regularly!!
Everytime I go to this massage shop there is always something they do to cut corners. The first few times I visit I notice they were taking time off my massage I request 60 mins they took 5-7 mins. It’s been over a year since returning. I really needed a massage and most in my area were booked for the morning so I gave them another try. Told them exactly what a wanted a combination 60 min body with 30 mins foot price listed $90….After my massage (which I timed) I go to pay the women charges me an extra $10!! Claiming I got deep tissue…I didn’t not request a deep tissse nor did you communicate the pressure you applied would be considered deep tissue. This place is clearly money hungry and I don’t have any issue tipping 20-22% which is what she got but trying to hustle more money out of your customers is beyond greedy anyone who gives this place try be aware of antics to overcharge, or manipulate a bigger tips
Today, I treated myself to a fabulous 90-minute massage with Wei. The hour-long drive was certainly justified. The staff is exceptionally courteous and attentive to one's needs. I highly recommend this experience.

My massage was fine, however Hong's would not accept my Spaweek gift card. Checked with Spaweek and was told that Hong's is a member and should have accepted the card. Very disappointing.
I decided to visit a new place since my regular spot is closed on Sundays and I was in pain. The place is clean, but I did not receive a good massage from Wendy. I asked for deep tissue before beginning but only got a rub down until I asked again 30 mins in. I just kept waiting & waiting for her to apply any pressure. Then I noticed she was avoiding my knots in my traps / shoulders - which was the reason I mentioned I came in. At the end of the massage she tried to end it 4 mins early and I had to ask her to complete it, which she then did. I then asked could she please massage my traps / shoulders (since she avoided them). She literally said to me, and I quote, " you don't get massages often. You too much work." I'm not making this up. I have always had massage therapist try to get my knots out, as they should, and I love them for it and tip them very well for their work. It was so unprofessional to say this to a customer! I still tipped Wendy 20%. Sadly, I arrived in pain and left feeling the same. I won't be returning. Maybe the other therapists are better. After reading reviews I wish I had specifically asked for Helen or Wei. Maybe new visitors can see this heads up and get the experience they actually pay for. Disappointing.
Very relaxing atmosphere and great customer service! I came in for a foot massage and he relived all of my pain. I will go back for a full body massage.
Wei is an excellent massage therapist. I always have a deep tissue massage and I feel so much better after. I have arthritis in my neck and upper back and these massages are so beneficial in relieving my pain. I love Hongs Massage and will continue book appointments with them.
For the last three years I have received a massage from Hong's most every six weeks.Every masseuse has delivered an excellent massage every time.My go-to guy is Wei. He is always aware of my body's strength and weaknesses and massages accordingly.I don't believe you will be disappointed at Wong's.

Outstanding massage! Loosened up all those tight neck and shoulders from staring at computer monitors all day and all week. I visit every couple of weeks to keep free from neck pain. Very recommended for that and overall relaxation!

Helen gave me a deep tissue massage for two hours. It was fantastic. She listened to what I had problems with pain and sports injuries and after surgeries, she was very considerate about my health and the future of my body.This massage parlor has very good hours plus prices are normal and they give you very good customer service.They work very hard and talk to the customer's clients about how their health can be improved or get better in the future by slowly, but surely working on stretching and massage therapy.The location is very close to Costco in Buford, Georgia 30519.You can see the Costco Warehouse from the parking lot at the massage parlor.
Took the mothers of my life to get a massage on mother's day. They all really enjoyed their massage. However, the reviews here are true. They do upcharge you without explicitly telling you there is an extra cost. I knew since i read the reviews before going, but let me tell you, if you ask them about it, they will totally change their demeanor and defend themselves 🤣. I'm not sure if i will be back
Disappointed. Went in with my family today (husband and mother) for a last minute foot massage for one hour.When we arrived we were pressured to get a combination massage. After saying no a few times, we finally agreed to do 30 minutes body and 30 minutes foot.I went to lay down and I was asked if I wanted pressure. I said sure. The massage was pretty decent! Then I was asked: Do you want coconut oil or CBD? I just said coconut. After my body was lathered in oil she promptly said “$10 extra”. After my body was covered.I got up to the front and each of us had an up charge for “deep tissue” $10 and oil another $10.I don’t mind things costing extra truly but please let your customers know. It came off like a scam. I will not return.
I've been going to Hong's for years and have always been very happy with them! I like getting the deep tissue to work out the knots in my back and they always do an incredible job!
Updated review: I have been there 4 or 5 times . My last experience was not great. The guy demanded we pay upfront and tip BEFORE the massage and would not stamp my frequent visit card until AFTER the massage. They no longer offer the 10am-2pm discount which is fine but the terrible service was discouraging. The lady was barely touching me, it wasn’t a deep tissue but more like a soft brush… hardly any pressure at all. She was grunting all heavy like she was doing something and kept blowing her breath in my face. I could have got a better massage in a mall massage chair. I will never return there. It was not worth the drive to Duluth.
Friendly staff and you’ll get a really good massage (I’d say even the best one I’ve received in Georgia compared to other places) and yet it charges less than other places as well. Would definitely recommend.
only scrubbing instead of massage... its not what it means .. massage was like scrubbing which means so weak and didn't feel any good ^^
My car was getting it's tires done at Costco so I had 2 hours to kill. Sabrina was great, did they ask me for the $10 coconut oil upgrade...yeah....and is that a little steep....sure...but I said yes and it was a good massage. It was so good that when we got to 50 minutes she asked me if I wanted to go for the extra 30 and told me what it would cost. Again it felt great and I had the time so YES PLEASE. I guess what I'm saying is that the place was clean, I didn't have to worry about my therapist leaving to room to answer a call and massage was great...perfect pressure. I will be coming back again and asking for Sabrina.
This review could’ve been all 5 stars. Where it went wrong, was where their sleazy upsell tactics come into play. We booked a couple Swedish, $60/hr. They ask when you get in the room laying down if you want deep tissue, we said we signed up for Swedish. She asked “You want pressure?” And after some thought we said “yes”. The other place we went to asked this often with no hidden agenda so thought nothing of it. That question can help a heavy hand lighten up. Massage was great. Go to check out and now we’re being charged for a deep tissue $70/hr because we said yes to more pressure! Really? Proper etiquette would’ve been to inform us of the price difference at that moment and allow us to make a decision. Towards the end she asked more than once if we wanted to add 30 foot massage. I’m sure if I would’ve agreed to the coconut oil it would’ve been more and they wouldn’t have told me and just added to the bill. To sum it up, not happy. They ultimately lost tip money because it went to their “upsell”. For other customers, be aware of this place and confirm what you’re getting after every question.Sometimes trying a different spot can be a good decision. Lesson learned. We will be going back to Total Health Spa where there is complete transparency.
You will never find another place that is not expensive and does a phenomenal job. I always see Mr. Wei but my husband and friends use the other women there. I'm always told I should be an advertisement for the business when I leave because you can tell the relief they provide by the way I walk outta there 😂 Mon-Thurs an hour massage is onky $50 between 10-2pm. Do your mind, body and soul a favor and treat yourself to some healing hands. You will thank me later 😉
I’ve been receiving massages from Hong’s Massage for over 7yrs. They’re always been very professional and I always receive full time session ( meaning you get your full 30, 60, or 2hrs session); unlike other places I’ve visited before. I never had a bad experience regardless of which therapist I had during that visit. It’s a clean, professional and family oriented establishment.
Hong's is the BEST massage business in the "Mall of Georgia" area, by far. The masseuses are EXCELLENT (especially 'Fei'). The rooms/beds are clean and comfortable. The management is always professional and respectful. Their prices are very reasonable. I get Swedish massages from Hong's on a regular basis and the masseuses knows how to give them properly. Kudos to Hong's!!
